17th Annual Children's Corporate Challenge Golf Classic
The year's honorees, Robert and Arnie Ursaner, of CJS Securities, headquartered in White Plains, NY worked very hard to make this Friends of Karen's most successful golf event ever. Proceeds from the golf classic directly support children with life-threatening illness and their families. With 102 golfers in attendance, the event raised approximately $214.000 for Friends of Karen. We greatly appreciate the tremendous effort and hard work by our honorees and all those in attendance.

Honoree's Arnie and Roberta Ursaner
Friends of Karen Honor Arnie and Roberta Ursaner
Arnie and Roberta Ursaners Roberta Ursaner first became aware of Friends of Karen approximately 20 years ago when dear college friends received assistance from the organization. They witnessed first hand how a child’sserious illness affected their friends’ lives and how Friends of Karen helped the family cope. The Ursaners were so impressed that to this day they have made Friends of Karen a key part of their philanthropy. Over the years the Ursaners have generously supported the children and families helped by Friends of Karen through their involvement in many of our events and our annual Back-to-School program.
Roberta currently serves as Co-President of the Friends of Purchase Library and worked as an occupational therapist for many years prior to starting her family. Arnie has been in the brokerage industry for more than 30 years. Prior to starting CJS Securities in 1997, he was a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at Bear Stearns. CJS Securities, Inc. is headquartered in White Plains, New York, and provides institutional investors with research on small-cap companies. Arnie is the President and Founder, and Roberta is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
