Board Member

Arlene del Mundo became a board member in January 2020 after attending a board match function in Manhattan. She was moved by the Friends of Karen organization as their mission is of personal significance to her. She is currently the Chief Nurse Anesthetist at Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

Arlene’s inspiration for nursing is founded in her younger brother’s tumultuous, yet successful battle with childhood leukemia. Since his cure, Arlene has pursued her life’s ambition to provide medical care and emotional support for people in need. She is in process of obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Pennsylvania to further advance her leadership path.

Arlene moved to Manhattan in 2019. When she is not providing anesthesia in the operating room, she enjoys hiking, boating and photography.
