Midsummer’s Dream Evening was held in July at the Coliseum in White Plains to a room filled with enthusiastic Friends of Karen supporters, many new to our organization. Thank you to our sparkling Master of Ceremonies, Blaise Gomez from News12 New York. Our dedicated event committee and all our guests enjoyed coming together to sip cocktails, be mesmerized by the magic tricks of Tom Gibney, listen to tunes from F Sharp Entertainment. A special thank you to a Friends of Karen father who brought out the best in all our guests with the touching he story her told when Bobby D from Inspire Hearts Fundraising asked everyone to raise their paddles during the Fund-a-Family portion of our program. The event raised $75,724 to help critically ill children and their families in the New York area.

What a night to remember at the New York Islanders game on Saturday, October 26th at UBS Arena where Friends of Karen was honored to be one of the featured charities for their Hockey With A Heart program!

We were thrilled to invite three Friends of Karen Families to attend the game as special guests. Seeing their excitement and joy reminded us exactly what our commitment and community are all about—improving the lives of families with children diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.

To our amazing volunteers and board members, your enthusiasm, energy, and dedication made such an impact! Watching you engage with fans, spark conversations about our mission, and spread joy throughout the night was truly inspiring. Thank you for bringing your passion for Friends of Karen to the concourse!
