Every child looks forward to celebrating their birthday. That’s why Friends of Karen makes sure every child in the families we support receives a birthday gift, helping birthdays remain a joyful occasion even in the midst of a child’s illness.

Below are some of the most requested gift ideas by interest. While this list is intended to provide inspiration, any new, unwrapped toy appropriate for children ages 1–9 is greatly appreciated.

Gift Cards for Ages 10-21:

Children ages 10 through 21 receive a $25 Amazon, Visa, Mastercard, Roblox, Target or Walmart Gift Card, allowing them to choose something they’ll truly enjoy.

New Items Only: Because many of our children have severely compromised immune systems, we can only accept new, unused, unwrapped items in their original packaging with tags attached. We cannot accept used items.

Party in a Bag

In addition to a birthday gift, each child receives a Birthday Bag filled with party essentials, including candles, paper plates, napkins, and a small grocery gift card to help families celebrate together. Donations of these items are always appreciated and help make each birthday feel complete.
