Annual Adopt-A-Family Program Fulfills Wish Lists of Critically Ill Children and Their Siblings
Friends of Karen delivers gifts and smiles for the holidays with your help
For Immediate Release
NORTH SALEM, NY— Help Friends of Karen deliver gifts and smiles for the holidays! Nearly 900 Holiday Wish Lists need to be filled this year. Join us in bringing joy to a critically ill child and their siblings by making sure their wishes come true this holiday season.
What better way to celebrate the holiday spirit than by giving to a child?
Friends of Karen supports families caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness. When a child is in treatment for months, there’s no time or resources for parents to shop or even think about gifts. Even in a health crisis, children should be able to enjoy the holidays. Through Friends of Karen, parents send us their children’s wish lists and then we reach out to the community for help to make the children’s dreams come true.
Here is how you can help:
- Choose to shop to fill the wish list of one child or several children, each wish list is valued at $100.
- Make a donation and we will do the shopping for you.
- Send a grocery gift card of $50 or more to ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Target, Walmart, Visa, or MasterCard so a family can buy groceries for their holiday meal.
