Friends of Karen Celebrates Selection as an ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program Beneficiary

North Salem, NY – Friends of Karen has been selected as a beneficiary of the ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program for the month of May. The ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program, which launched in August 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
Friends of Karen was selected as the May beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the ACME located in Goldens Bridge, NY. Friends of Karen will receive a $1 donation every time the $3.00 reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during the month of May, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“We are honored and grateful to be selected as the beneficiary of such a wonderful program,” said Judith Factor, Executive Director of Friends of Karen. “We will use the proceeds from this program to provide vital financial, emotional, and practical support needed by Friends of Karen families with a critically ill child to help them get through each challenging day.”
Friends of Karen is the only organization in the New York Tri-State area that provides comprehensive support, at no cost, to families caring for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness.
