Get Involved

Friends of Karen volunteers come in all ages and sizes. Our volunteers are children, teenagers, baby boomers, seniors and all ages in between. We even have multi-generational families volunteering. We could not do the work we do without the support of our volunteers – hundreds of volunteers donating thousands of hours each year.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, expertise and creativity. But most of all they give from their hearts. Whether you spend a few hours in the office wrapping birthday gifts or you represent us at a community fair, your job is vital to our mission. Get in touch with us and get involved!

Read about our examples of volunteer projects for every member of the family.  Feel free to come up with your own ideas!

Please make sure to let us know your interests and availability so we can provide the best match with our volunteer opportunities.

Having had a critically ill child, I know well the stress, fear and sense of isolation that families in this situation feel…The social workers and staff at Friends of Karen do such a wonderful job helping families — and they’re always striving to do more. For this they need volunteers and donors…I feel that I’m helping to make life just a little easier for many families in need.”

We can all do something.  Kindness is so underrated.”
