Pam Hervey joined the board of Friends of Karen in 2002, after learning about the organization from a friend and then spending some time volunteering. With a young child and another on the way at the time, Pam was moved by the practicality and compassion in the support Friends of Karen provides to the families it serves.

She graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and focused on dental care for special needs children during her residency at Montefiore Medical Center. She is currently involved with the Westchester Institute for Human Development where she provides dental services to children in long-term care facilities.
